NextEra Energy Resources Named First-Ever Presenting Sponsor of Fayette Gives

by | Nov 4, 2026

The Community Foundation of Fayette County (CFFC) is proud to announce NextEra Energy Resources, LLC as the first-ever Presenting Sponsor of Fayette Gives, providing a $20,000 sponsorship that will directly strengthen the matching funds available to participating nonprofits during this year’s countywide day of giving on November 5.

This year, 107 nonprofit organizations are participating in Fayette Gives, raising funds to support programs and services that improve quality of life throughout Fayette County. Donations made during Fayette Gives will be matched by 10%, up to a maximum of $10,000 in matching funds per nonprofit, helping organizations maximize the impact of every gift received.

As Presenting Sponsor, NextEra Energy Resources’ investment helps make those matching funds possible, ensuring more charitable dollars reach local organizations serving Fayette County residents.

“By stepping forward as the first-ever Presenting Sponsor of Fayette Gives, NextEra Energy Resources is helping create an even greater impact for nonprofits across Fayette County,” said Jessica Hajek-Bates, Chief Executive Officer of CFFC. “Their $20,000 investment will help maximize matching funds, encourage charitable giving, and ensure more resources reach the organizations working every day to strengthen Fayette County.”

Since its launch, Fayette Gives has raised more than $3.1 million for local causes, connecting donors with organizations that address community needs while strengthening the nonprofit sector across Fayette County.

“The strength of Fayette County is reflected in the organizations and people who work every day to support their neighbors,” said Alec Mazzuco, senior project manager at NextEra Energy Resources. “We’re proud to support Fayette Gives and help build on the impact these nonprofits are making throughout the community.”

In addition to supporting participating nonprofits through matching funds, CFFC will host its first-ever Fayette Gives Watch Party at its office, located at 250 West Main Street in Uniontown, on November 5. Community members are invited to stop by throughout the day to watch live fundraising results, meet nonprofit representatives, enjoy local food and beverages, and celebrate the collective impact being created across the county.

Online donations will be accepted at fayettegives.org from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on November 5. Donors can support one or more participating organizations through a single transaction, with a minimum gift of $25 per nonprofit. Check donations will also be accepted at the CFFC office until 8 p.m. that evening.

In addition to NextEra Energy Resources as Presenting Sponsor, Fayette Gives is supported by Community Sponsors Charity Fund, the Jamieson Family in Memory of Deborah Jamieson, and the Swimmer Family; Generosity Sponsors John and Bernadette Ptak Family Fund and Specialty Conduit & Manufacturing, LLC; Humanity Sponsors Erie Insurance, Nemacolin, Renew You Medi Spa, and Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network – Highlands Wealth Management; and Supporter First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Greene County.
