The Melvin J. Keller Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Melvin J. Keller Memorial Scholarship was established in the spring of 2008 as a tribute to a man who lived his life in service to others.  He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who was passionate about his family, church and community.  Mr. Keller worked for the Prudential Insurance Company for almost 30 years, was active in the Trinity Lutheran Church of Connellsville, and worked to better the city of Connellsville.  He was very proud of his membership in the Rotary Club, where he had a perfect attendance record of 63 years. Mr. Keller's dedication to the improvement of education led him to serve as a member of the school board of the Connellsville School District for seventeen years.  For that reason, his family chose to create this scholarship to aid graduating seniors going into the field of education from Connellsville Area High School.  His family hopes that this scholarship will help those students achieve their dream of a college education.
