Uniontown Area High School graduating seniors or graduates, holding a 3.0 GPA or higher, having participated on the high school golf team or holding an interest in golf and planning to attend or attending any college or university may apply for this scholarship.
In 2009, The Community Foundation of Fayette County reached its $1 million mark for distributing grant awards.
“We’re very happy to reach this point,’’ said Clara Pascoe, executive director. “It’s a significant milestone for us as a Foundation.”
The Community Foundation of Fayette County, which was founded in 1999 and began grantmaking in 2001, is a tax-exempt public charity created to improve the quality of life in Fayette County.
The Foundation serves the region through grantmaking, leadership and donor services. Funding interests include: education, historic preservation, environmental awareness, health and human services, tourism initiatives, the arts, and community development.
The Community Foundation makes a difference in Fayette County every day. We encourage projects that include the following criteria: provide measurable and visible impact, promote tourism as an economic generator, build strong community partnerships and collaborations, and enrich the quality of life for residents.
